Man crushed to death after brick wall collapses in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A man in Long Beach was crushed to death Sunday evening when a brick wall collapsed on him, police said.

It happened just before 7 p.m. in the 2200 block of Pasadena Avenue.

The Long Beach Police Department said when firefighters responded to the scene, there was a good Samaritan already there performing CPR on the victim.

Paramedics stepped in to help, but the man died at the scene.

Police aren't sure if the victim was working when the wall fell or if he just lived in the area.

The incident remains under investigation.
