Marilyn Manson cast on 'Sons of Anarchy' as white supremacist

LOS ANGELES -- It looks like Marilyn Manson is going to stir up some trouble in Charming.

The 45-year-old shock rocker has been cast in a recurring role as a white supremacist in the upcoming seventh and final season of the hit FX show "Sons of Anarchy," which focuses on a California outlaw motorcycle club, Deadline reported on Thursday, May 29.

" @marilynmanson will join our dope show," "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter tweeted.

Manson, known for the 1998 hit song "The Dope Show," said in a statement carried by Deadline: "'Sons' has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father's," Variety quoted Manson as saying. "So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of 'SOA' is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle."

The rocker, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, will play "Ron Tully, a white supremacist prison shot-caller who Jax uses to expand his power base," the outlet said.

Manson had in recent days posted on his Twitter page links to Sutter's webcast and to an Instagram photo posted by actor Clifton Collins Jr. that shows him with the rocker and three actors from "Sons of Anarchy" -- Hunnam, who starred with him in the movie "Pacific Rim;" Emilio Rivera, who plays Marcus Alvarez, leader of rival biker gang the Mayans; and Danny Trejo, who played Romero "Romeo" Parada, an undercover CIA agent who appeared in season 4 in 2012.

Manson has acted before -- he played a roller rink server on an episode of HBO's "Eastbound & Down" in 2013 and also appeared in the 1999 teen movie "Jawbreaker," which starred then-girlfriend Rose McGowan.

"Sons of Anarchy" returns this fall.
