BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One firefighter was injured Thursday morning while battling a massive fire at a commercial building in Boyle Heights.
The fire was reported shortly after 8 a.m. at the one-story building in Grande Vista Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The firefighter was rushed to the hospital in an unknown condition.
AIR7 was over the scene as the blaze created a large plume of black smoke, which could be seen from miles away. Fire crews were seen attacking the flames with several streams of water, some from ladders.
According to the LAFD, the fire originally started somewhere outside before it spread to the structure.
It's unclear what kind of business runs out of the building, but all employees were evacuated.
