Mother, children hide during break-in at Beverlywood home, LAPD says

BEVERLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A mother and her children were forced to hide in their Beverlywood home after a suspect broke in overnight.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday on the 1500 block of Rexford Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police say the family hid in a bathroom, but they never came into contact with the suspected intruder. It's unclear how long the suspect was inside the home.

After searching the area, the suspect was found nearby and taken into custody. It's unclear if anything was taken.
