EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two robbers made off with two cash registers at an East Los Angeles 7-Eleven store early Wednesday, surveillance video showed.

Deputies responded to the convenience store around 12:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of East Olympic Boulevard, near the interchange of the 710 and 5 freeways.

There was no forced entry into the 7-Eleven or intimidation used by the suspects, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

The thieves, both dressed in dark clothing, entered the store and one jumped over the counter, stealing the cash registers filled with cash, according to investigators. The suspects then fled the scene heading westbound on Olympic Boulevard.

"An employee at the 7-Eleven, who wished to remain anonymous, reported that more than $1,000 in cash may have been taken with the registers," the Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

Only one customer was inside the store at the time, and no injuries were reported.

LASD investigators have not yet determined whether this robbery is connected to other recent robberies at 7-Eleven locations in the area, the spokesperson said.
