Rockslide forces closure of road in Chatsworth

CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A road in the San Fernando Valley will be shut down for several days following a major rockslide.

The stretch of Santa Susana Pass Road in Chatsworth will be closed between Red Mesa and Iverson roads for at least a week, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The rockslide happened at the same location where a small brush fire broke out in November. Crews say that, combined with recent rains, could have caused the mountain side to become unstable.
