E-scooter rider critically injured in Reseda hit-and-run crash; search underway for driver

RESEDA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are searching for the driver who hit and critically injured a man riding an e-scooter in Reseda.

The hit-and-run crash happened the morning of May 7. A dark-colored SUV traveling east on Strathern Street hit the victim who was riding an e-schooter in the bike lane along Reseda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The impact launched the victim, only identified as an adult man, into the air and onto the roadway. He was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries while the driver of the SUV took off.
