Shia LaBeouf arrested for disorderly conduct

NEW YORK (KABC) -- Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested Thursday for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing while attending a Broadway show in New York, police said.

LaBeouf, 28, was allegedly smoking inside Studio 54 during the first act of the musical "Cabaret," and appeared to be drunk. Police were called in around 9 p.m.

He refused to leave and threatened officers and people on the sidewalk, police said.

The former "Transformers" actor was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal trespassing.

Broadway composer Benj Pasek tweeted, "Just saw Shia LaBeouf in handcuffs in tears surrounded by 6 police officers outside of CABARET the musical. Oh New York, u is a crazy bitch"

His arrest is the latest in a string of problems for the troubled actor. In January, he was videotaped headbutting a man during a bar fight in London.

He's also been accused of plagiarizing a graphic novel for his short film and later apologized.
