CULVER CITY, Calif. (KABC) -- Culver City police released new video showing the disturbing moments that unfolded before they started chasing a carjacking suspect who hit several pedestrians.

Juan Luis Estrada, 45, of Perris, is facing more than a dozen charges as he is held on $10.25 million bail.

He was arrested last week after allegedly carjacking a white Toyota Camry at knifepoint. Estrada was then involved in a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Centinela Avenue and Washington Boulevard, where he injured four of the pedestrians.

Multiple pedestrians were struck when a driver led police on a dangerous chase that ended in a crash at a Los Angeles McDonald's drive-thru, authorities say.

Newly-released video shows several of them being hit by the car near a gas station in the area.

The chase started once police were able to locate the car, after which police say Estrada hit more pedestrians. Police initially said eight people in total were hit, but later amended that to 10 people.

The victims range in age from 15 to 70.

Eight pedestrians, including a 15-year-old, were struck by a suspect who led Culver City police on a dangerous chase, and new video shows the chaos that unfolded.

The chase ended when Estrada crashed at a McDonald's drive-thru.

Estrada has been charged with ten counts of attempted murder, one count of carjacking, one count of felony evading a peace officer causing serious bodily injury, one count of battery on a peace officer and three counts of felony hit-and-run.

A hearing next month will determine if he's mentally fit to stand trial.
