Suspect spins out of control after hitting spike strips during wild San Fernando Valley chase

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman was taken into custody Thursday after a wild, late-night chase through the San Fernando Valley.

The chase ended when the suspect - who was driving a reported stolen vehicle - crashed in Canoga Park.

A driver fleeing police on shredded tires zigzagged across lanes before crashing into a rail in the San Fernando Valley.

During the pursuit, the suspect drove over a spike strip, fleeing on shredded tires and escaping a police PIT maneuver.

At one point, the driver spun out of control, driving onto oncoming traffic.

The chase didn't last long. The suspect was taken into custody shortly after the crash.
