Video shows person sawing guardrail on 10 Freeway near downtown LA; investigation underway

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Video obtained by Eyewitness News appears to show someone standing on the 10 Freeway, sawing a portion of a guardrail.

The video was Thursday just before 6 pm.

The viewer who sent ABC7 the video speculates the person may have been trying to steal the metal.

Both the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans are investigating the incident.

Caltrans confirmed the person in the video is not one of its employees or subcontractors.
