BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KABC) -- Firefighters helped free a puppy that got his head stuck in a wheel rim in Bakersfield.

The dog was playing with his brothers and sisters on the patio when his head became stuck, according to Megan Beeler, who claimed to be the puppy's owner in a post on the fire station's Facebook page.

Beeler took the dog to the fire station for help. The firefighters used cooking oil to free the pup.
