Jackson Limousine Service holds 33rd annual Turkey Giveaway in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Jackson Limousine Service is upholding a Thanksgiving tradition 33 years in the making by giving away an estimated 12,000 baskets of complete turkey dinners to the community in South Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Every year, the company, run by local business owner and philanthropist E.J. Jackson, hands out turkeys and Thanksgiving fixings to those in need.

People started waiting in line as early as Saturday morning to receive the generous donations, which include turkeys, various produce and even flowers. Also, the first 300 people in line received a ham.

Many in the community say they feel blessed and grateful to be able to take part in the annual giveaway, which kicked off at 8 a.m.
