WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (KABC) -- A lucky woman is now a multimillionaire after scoring a $3-million scratcher at a retailer in Westlake Village.
Kim Kortlander won the massive prize on a California Lottery $5 Set for Life scratcher.
Kortlander has the option of taking the entire $3 million spread out over 25 years in $10,000 monthly installments, or accepting a $1,740,000 lump-sum prize amount.
Kortlander bought the winning scratcher at Village Spirit Shoppe, located at 4601 West Lakeview Canyon Road.
The retailer scored a $15,000 bonus from the lottery just for selling the winning scratcher.
Village Spirit Shoppe was already on the California Lottery's branded list of Lucky Retailers, which are retailers that have either paid out an average of 400 winning tickets per week, paid out an average of $4,000 in winning tickets per week or have sold at least one $100,000 or higher winning ticket.
Kortlander declined any media interviews.
