SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A hit-and-run driver sheared a fire hydrant in Sylmar Tuesday morning, causing water to spew into the street.
The crash occurred near the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center on Olive View Drive, just north of Bledsoe Street, at about 5 a.m.
Responding Department of Water and Power crews had trouble finding the source to shut the water off, but eventually stopped the flow.
There was no estimate on how much water was lost.
