A Lancaster father and mother have been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of their two children who were found decapitated inside their home.
Loved ones of Karina Castro, beheaded by her ex-boyfriend in the middle of a street, say the prison sentence does not fit the crime they've described as the "worst kind of evil."
Court papers say once police arrived, the suspect repeatedly apologized for killing his mother and was singing a religious song as he was taken into custody.
"During this viewing, their baby was wrapped tightly in a blanket with his head propped on top of his body in a manner such that those viewing him could not identify that he had been decapitated," according to the statement.
"A portion of the body was dismembered, and the residence was covered in blood. Gruesome scene at best," the sheriff said.
The New York Police Department has arrested a former personal assistant of Fahim Saleh, the tech entrepreneur who was found decapitated and dismembered in his apartment on the Lower East Side of the city, according to police sources.
