A Latina Equal Pay Day event in Los Angeles raised awareness on the large gap in wages between California Latinas and white men.
The U.S. Soccer Federation reached milestone agreements to pay its men's and women's teams equally, making the American national governing body the first in the sport to promise both sexes matching money.
U.S. Soccer reached an "historic" agreement that will achieve equal pay for the men's and women's teams.
Fifty/50 is ESPN's monumental initiative, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company, highlighting the civil rights journey of women across the sports and cultural landscape, and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the passing of Title IX.
The team's head coach said on several occasions, male athletes removed equipment out of the weight room or kept the women's team waiting while they "finished up."
"Society (needs) to rebuild perceptions, actions and words to support the creative empowerment of all children," Lego said.
