Dodgers manager Dave Roberts says Shohei Ohtani will "be in the lineup" for this weekend's series against the Yankees in the Bronx after having fluid drained from his left knee.
Shohei Ohtani will be joined by three Los Angeles teammates in the NL's starting lineup, while the Dodgers, Braves and Phillies will each send five players to the July 14 All-Star Game.
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani threw a season-high 110 pitches against the Padres before exiting in the seventh inning when his right biceps tightened up on a swing. He will be held out of the lineup Saturday to afford him some extra recovery time.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said it's "hard to imagine" Shohei Ohtani pitching in the All-Star Game after the team adjusted his schedule to manage his workload.
With the All-Star break approaching, it's time to look at the leaders for MVP, Cy Young and more.
Shohei Ohtani will be in the Dodgers' lineup when he makes his pitching start Friday, and catching him will be Dalton Rushing.
