The San Jose Earthquakes booked their spot in the U.S. Open Cup semifinals with a 3-2 win over LA Galaxy at Avaya Stadium on Monday.
MLS side Real Salt Lake were pushed all the way to penalties by minnows the Wilmington Hammerheads in Tuesday's U.S. Open Cup fourth round action.
The matchups for the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup -- the first to include MLS teams -- was set as the third round concluded on Wednesday.
