LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A female passenger was taken into custody after she allegedly threatened a taxi driver and overtook the steering wheel.
Los Angeles police said the woman was in the backseat of the taxi when she started threatening the driver. When the suspect tried to take the wheel, authorities said the driver jumped out of the taxi.
Investigators were able to locate the vehicle on the 800 block of West 93rd Street shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday.
When officers pulled the woman over, she refused to get out. Police used a bean-bag shotgun to force her out of the car.
The suspect was taken into custody with minor injuries.
