SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- A 21-year-old San Bernardino woman was arrested Thursday for child abuse after her 6-month-old baby was hospitalized with a fractured leg.

Taylen O'Neal-Taylor called 911 on Sunday to report her 2-year-old daughter had fallen on top of her 6-month-old baby daughter, injuring her.

The baby was taken to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital where she was found to have a fractured femur, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.

The injury was inconsistent with O'Neal-Taylor's account of what happened, and investigators suspected child abuse. Further examination revealed previous fractures to the baby's legs, the department said.

O'Neal-Taylor was arrested Thursday afternoon at her residence on the 26000 block of Baseline Street for willful cruelty to a child causing injury. She was held on $100,000 bail.
