THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KABC) -- The Ventura County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance images of two men it said are related to a sexual assault inside a movie theater bathroom in Thousand Oaks on Friday.

Sheriff's investigators had previously released video footage of the man they said carried out the attack at the Muvico theater on Hillcrest Drive but have since released still images of the suspect with another man, whom they are calling a person of interest.

The second man was wearing a light blue polo shirt and white shorts, and spoke only Spanish with theater employees, investigators said.

Surveillance footage from the Muvico movie theater in Thousand Oaks shows a person of interest in a sexual battery at the location on May 23.

The alleged assault happened on May 23 at about 11:40 p.m. when, according to Thousand Oaks police, a man slid under a bathroom stall at the theater and assaulted a woman inside.

After a brief struggle, the victim was able to leave the stall and the suspect fled from the theater as the passenger in a black sedan, police said.

The suspect is described as being a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. He has a slender build, brown hair, brown eyes and a medium-to-dark complexion. The man was wearing a gray hoodie and dark jeans.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the person of interest is asked to call Detective Eric Taylor at 805-947-8252 or Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and criminal complaint against the person(s) responsible for the crime. Callers may remain anonymous.
