Mobile app offers 24/7 veterinary service for LA pet owners
A newly launched veterinarian network is out to save Los Angeles County pet owners some time, money and stress.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A newly launched veterinarian network is out to save Los Angeles County pet owners some time, money and stress.

Dr. Julie Goldstein is one of the veterinarians who may arrive at a home thanks to the new mobile service called Vet24seven, which is an app that brings immediate vet care to customers.

Veterinarians make house calls, provide consultations over the phone and in live chats or videos. It's even available on certain holidays.

Dog owner Frida Farrell said the app helps avoid the stress of going through Los Angeles traffic to get to a vet's office.

The app aims to answer questions so that owners can know within minutes whether their pet requires an emergency room visit or if it's something minor.

Farrell said she will be using the service app again. Vet24seven is set to be launched as a national service soon. To learn more about the app, check out vet24seven.com.
