CAMARILLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A man has been arrested for sexual battery after allegedly groping a woman inside a Camarillo supermarket.
The woman told police she was shopping inside a Vons in the 5000 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard when she was attacked around 4 p.m. on March 31.
The suspect was caught on surveillance footage, which police released to the public Thursday. Detectives then received information from the public, and were then able to positively identify the suspect as Carlos "Rico" Rodriguez.
A warrant was then issued for his arrest on two counts of sexual battery and elder or dependent adult abuse. Investigators say Rodriguez allegedly walked by the woman, groped one of her breasts, walked away and quickly came back. He then acted like he was reaching for groceries and groped one of her breasts again, according to Ventura Country Sheriff's Sgt. John Franchi.
On Friday, detectives responded to the 100 block of Caleta Drive in Camarillo and arrested Rodriguez without incident. He is being held on $20,000 bail.
Police say there may be other victims. Anyone with information regarding Rodriguez or this crime was urged to contact Detective TJ DeSalvo at (805) 388-5157.
