
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southern California will see a warmup and lots of sunshine heading into the weekend.
Temperatures climb Friday, and many areas will see the return of highs in the 80s, with Saturday being the warmest day across the region.
Enjoy a mostly sunny weekend before rain chances arrive early next week. A big drop in temperatures is on tap Sunday.
For now, most areas are expected to see about a 20% chance of showers on Monday and Tuesday.
Los Angeles and Orange counties Friday will see morning clouds followed by afternoon sunshine, with a high of 78 degrees and a low of 56. Temperatures warm up to around 80 Saturday.
The valleys and Inland Empire Friday can expect sunny skies with a high of 81 degrees and a low of 49. Highs remain in the low 80s Saturday.
Beaches Friday will see a mix of clouds and sunshine, with a high of 70 degrees and a low of 56.
Mountain communities Friday can expect sunny skies with a high of 66 degrees and a low of 34.
Desert areas Friday will be sunny with a high of 85 degrees and a low of 51. Palm Springs is expected to reach 96 degrees.
