LOS ANGELES (KABC) --
The FBI and Los Angeles police are looking into a number of suspicious mailings sent to 10 Church of Scientology addresses in Southern California, according to the L.A. Times.Investigators say the letters contained a white powder. Hazmat teams were called in to examine the mailings.
The scare even prompted the evacuation of one building in Tustin and forced police to close Brand Ave. in Glendale for two hours on Wednesday.
Initial testing showed the powder was harmless, but further tests are being done.
The Church of Scientology had no comment about the incidents.
