SEASIDE, CA --A 15-year-old girl stopped an out-of-control school bus, but it landed her in detention. Amanda Rouse was on a school bus with 40 elementary school students last week in Seaside, near Monterey, when the driver fell out of her seat and hit her head. Amanda jumped behind the wheel to bring the bus to a stop. No one was injured.
The teen says she had asked the bus driver to give her a ride home because she wasn't feeling well. She is now in trouble for skipping school.
