Union Pacific gets train-stopping system

CHATSWORTH, Calif. The move comes in response to September's deadly Metrolink train collision in Chatsworth that killed 25 people.

Union Pacific has already begun testing its version of a positive train control system which can override the actions of engineers if necessary.

The goal is have the system on shared tracks in Los Angeles by 2012.
