Researchers find benefits to snoring

Believe or not, there's a benefit to snoring. If you snore you may be burning more calories during the day than non-snorers do. That's what researchers at Montefiore Medical Center in New York found.

One theory is that people who snore may sleep less at night, and burn more calories during the day.

Snoring is often found in people who are overweight, but doctors say the calorie loss isn't enough to balance out the extra weight that may be the cause of snoring in the first place.
