Coffee may lower risk for Alzheimer's

January 16, 2009 8:06:37 AM PST
Finish and Swedish researchers found that middle-aged people who drink between three to five cups of coffee a day lowered their risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer's disease by 60 to 65 percent.Researchers attribute the findings to the strong antioxidants in coffee, which may help delay or avoid the onset of the disease.

The study is published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease.
