ACADEMY EXHIBITS
With the Academy Awards just days away, film enthusiasts are encouraged to soak up the fun with a few unique and free exhibitions. At the home base of the Oscars, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, visitors can take a peek into the extraordinary life of Douglas Fairbanks, Hollywood's first heartthrob. In the same building, Federico Fellini fans can get a firsthand look at notebooks filled with writings and artwork that documented the dreams of one of cinema's most celebrated directors. And just across town, at the FIDM Museum & Galleries, movie-lovers can see more than 125 costumes up close and personal, including pieces from several Oscar-nominated films.
