Study links workplace morale, depression

The study, which appears in the journal /*Occupational and Environmental Medicine*/, looked at more than 3,000 Finnish workers in a variety of workplaces.

Researchers found that people in what are described as "prejudiced" or "quarrelsome" work environments were 61 percent more likely to be depressed, and were also at a greater risk of suffering anxiety.

However, researchers could not determine whether the poor work environment led to depression, or was a consequence of it.
