Water consumption at 32-year low in LA

LOS ANGELES Since June 1, about a dozen Department of Water and Power water conservation officers have been on the lookout for residents violating Los Angeles' water consumption rules during a region-wide water shortage. According to a new L.A. Times report, they've helped the city cut water consumption.

The Times says according to the DWP, water demand throughout the city reached a 32-year low for June.

It's down 11 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
