OC Transit Authority cuts 30 bus routes

LOS ANGELES The new cuts are part of a plan by the Orange County Transit Authority to reduce bus service by nearly 30 percent.

They are grappling with a decline in state funding and tax revenue due to the weak economy.

Transit authorities say the cuts will reduce service by 100,000 annual hours and eliminate the first or last stop of some routes.
