Web surfing may improve brain function

LOS ANGELES A new study shows older adults who start browsing the Web improve their brain function within days.

A UC Berkeley professor says it's because the Internet makes you think and make decisions, and this stimulates "the thinking brain."

In other words, say researchers, you can teach an old brain new technology tricks.

The study involved subjects from 55 to 78 years old and was presented Monday night to the Society for Neuroscience.
