Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend sentenced to jail

VAN NUYS, Calif. Superior Court Judge Susan Speer also ordered 37-year-old Adnan Ghalib to perform 45 days of Caltrans service and to complete a 52-week anger management program.

The Feb. 11 accident involved a process server who was trying to serve Ghalib with a temporary restraining order at his Encino apartment. The restraining order was obtained by Spears' father.

Prosecutors say Ghalib got into his Mercedes and drove toward the process server, who jumped on the car's hood then fell off. Ghalib then drove off, according to prosecutors.

The worker broke his wrist and sustained other injuries.

In addition to leaving the scene of an accident, Ghalib was initially charged with assault with a deadly weapon and battery. Those counts were dismissed as the result of a plea deal.
