Simi Valley students win $20K for milk promo

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. The group behind the Got Milk campaign has awarded the school a $20,000 grand prize check for its contest promoting arts in public schools. The contest is sponsored by the California Milk Processor Board.

Santa Susana students produced a short video recreating scenes from the Got Milk online rock opera.

Out of 100 entries, Santa Susana finished first.

The grand prize money will be used to support the school's art programs.

The online 20-minute rock opera is intended to reach California teens with a message about the health benefits of drinking milk for strong bones, muscles, hair, teeth and nails.
