Woman jumps off I5 overpass, commits suicide

SUN VALLEY, Calif. Investigators said they were gathering the woman's dismembered remains from the freeway.

"All indications are we have what appears to be a suicide," said Los Angeles police Lt. Robert Davis of the Foothill Station. "The body is not in good shape. It's dismembered. Obviously we have a bad situation."

According to CHP, the lane closures were requested at 10 p.m. and remained in effect more than one hour later.
