CA seeks tiny tax fee from Jackson estate

LOS ANGELES The state filed a creditor's claim against the late King of Pop's estate for just over $1,600. Officials say the money is due because it had to request that Jackson file a state income tax form for 2007.

/*Jackson's*/ estate has been hit with dozens of creditor's claims ranging from a few thousand to millions.

An attorney for the estate says if the money is owed, it'll get paid.

A coroner's report found that Jackson died from an overdose of the powerful anesthetic propofol and two other sedatives administered by his physician Conrad Murray on June 25. The singer was 50 years old.
