Illness forces Houston to postpone concert

LOS ANGELES The singer was due to kick off her show in Paris Tuesday. But according to her representative the singer has an upper respiratory infection that has forced Houston to bow out of the show on doctors' orders.

The statement says Houston "deeply regrets having been forced to postpone the show."

The tour will start in England on Thursday. She plans to make up the Paris show.

Earlier performances were negatively received by some fans and the media, leading to concerns about her health.
