Officers located two suspects, who fled in a silver PT Cruiser, whereupon officers pursued the vehicle. A third suspect was arrested before the pursuit.
The two suspects bailed out of their vehicle near 80th Street and South Broadway in South Los Angeles.
One suspect was seen carrying a pistol-style submachine gun. The suspects were observed jumping through a window into a house. Police believe the suspects are acquainted with the occupants of the residence.
Officers surrounded the house and evacuated surrounding residences.
Police breached the house later in the evening and made at least two arrests. Officers were clearing the scene at 10 p.m.
Further details were expected later Wednesday.
