20 cars ransacked in Ventura neighborhood

VENTURA, Calif. Officers arriving to vandalism calls in the 2600 block of Poli Street and surrounding streets about 7 a.m. found several vehicles that were either left unlocked or had their windows smashed with the insides ransacked.

With the help of volunteers, police canvassed the neighborhood searching for suspect and possible witnesses.

Police said they were able to find more than 20 victims, some of which did not want to report the crimes.
