The Hollenbeck Police Business Council, Inner-City Games LA and the Oscar De La Hoya Foundation are all behind the toy giveaway.
The event took over five blocks between Cummings Street toward Cesar Chavez Avenue, and thousands of kids received toys.
The toy giveaway began at 10 a.m. at the Hollenbeck Youth Center at 2015 E. First St.
Also on Saturday, the Angel City Christmas event gabe away toys, groceries and new clothes to thousands of residents at Bryant Temple AME Church.
