San Francisco attorney on crusade to end spam

SAN FRANCISCO Daniel Balsam created the website, Danhatesspam.com, to make a living from suing companies that flood his e-mail with unwanted solicitations.

Balsam has racked up more than $1 million in judgments and settlements with e-mail marketers.

His courtroom foes say balsam is unfairly exploiting anti-spam sentiments and laws, but Balsom says he's just helping clean up the Internet.
