LA deputy opens fire on knife-wielding man

ARCADIA, Calif. Authorities said they were responding to a domestic violence call at 8:20 p.m. A woman had reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her.

Deputies say the man was with a pit bull and became hostile when they tried to talk to him. When the suspect, who was allegedly holding a knife, began to advance toward the officers, one deputy fired two shots at the suspect.

A knife was recovered at the scene, authorities said.

No deputies were hurt in the incident.
