Ex-hospital chief denies molestation charges

LONG BEACH, Calif.

Claude Foulk, 63, is charged with 35 counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child. Foulk told the Long Beach court that his accuser, his now 27-year-old adopted son, is often caught up in lies.

Authorities say 13 men, including one of Foulk's adopted sons and one of his four foster sons, claim he molested them as children. Only one case could be prosecuted due to the statute of limitations.

Foulk was fired as director of Napa State Hospital after his arrest.
