According to Long Beach police, an allegedly drunk driver ran a red light and struck two patrol vehicles at about 3 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Sixth Street, west of downtown.
The suspect, identified as 43-year-old David Trevino, was arrested.
Investigators said Trevino's Ford pickup truck blew through a red light and slammed into a police cruiser occupied by two officers and another patrol car with just one officer.
Trevino and the three officers were treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
