Before Tuesday's ruling, dogs were prohibited from beaches from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer. Now, they must still be on leashes, but the new ruling allows them to run on the sand for an extra hour in the morning, until 9 a.m.
They're still banned from the beach, though, until 6 p.m. during the summer.
The change was sparked by a petition.
