A popular route to Big Bear is set to re-open on Monday after wet weather caused major damage.

Part of Highway 330 below Running Springs closed in December after rain and mudslides caused areas of the asphalt to crack and break.

Caltrans planned to allow one-way commuter traffic Monday through Friday with restrictions.

Down-bound traffic will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., and up-bound traffic will be allowed from 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol will enforce the time frames.

Construction was scheduled to continue through commute times so drivers should be cautious and expect delays.
