Proposition 8 plaintiffs received threats during trial

SAN FRANCISCO

According to the news magazine The Advocate, they may have come from Gregory Giusti, the man convicted of making threatening phone calls to Congresswoman /*Nancy Pelosi*/.

The Advocate reports that Sandra Stier and Kristin Perry, who filed suit challenging California's ban on /*gay marriage*/, received more than a dozen messages at their Berkeley home in January when the Proposition 8 testimony was being heard.

The Advocate said multiple, but unnamed sources, identified the caller as Giusti. One of the messages left to the plaintiffs was released:

"You only want it one way and that's your way. It ain't gonna happen ladies. Marriage is between one man and one woman only. God set it up that way and that's the way it's going to be. And anybody who is living in a homosexual or lesbian relationship will burn in the depths of hell for all eternity."

The Advocate reports that the FBI interviewed the couple but had no comment on the investigation.
